Custom midi command profile
« on: July 22, 2015, 12:09:54 PM »

Hi Guys,

I have a custom surface with 16 faders and 16 pled displays.

Need some direction into building a profile for this surface.

Two steps, first getting the faders to work with AMP.
Second getting channel names on the oleds.

Currently the faders respond to pitch bend midi ch 1_16

Any direction would be appreciated

Hey Steve,

Let's start by this: what commands do you send / receive for the faders?  for the LEDs?  Are they two messages or one?  If one midi message, then have a peek at the BCF template.  (I use Notepad ++, nice editor.)  The way I did things in the BCF was to just start at CC 0 and go up from there.  So for example, the first fader I *think* is: b0 00 40 (with 40 being the data value).  The Midi controller template uses bit values, so you'll see the b0 as the first one (with x characters in there for the "don't care" bits), then the second one as an index (because you have 8 of them), and then the value.

THe Motormix template uses two midi messages, so that is an example of it.

If you can post some example data, I can give you an idea of what to put in there.

Pictures, plans, price.  Sounds great.  AMP needs a good control surface.  GRIN
