Channel names horizontal vice sideways?
« on: September 11, 2017, 04:46:47 PM »
Hi folks,
Not sure if this is a hack, per se...might already be a feature that I just haven't found.
Is there a way to rotate the letters in the channel name area so that they are oriented horizontally vice vertically? My brain has issues with trying to read them sideways, I think if the letters were rotated CW 90deg it would help, i.e.

Hey Jeff,

There is a text-direction variable that can be set in the WDL, but none of the current options will do that.  I can put that on a feature request list though.

Personally, that was one thing that bugged me a lot about sac - I found it very hard to read quickly text like that.

How does that work? Does it make the text left to right and the channels wider (like the SAC Z Mixer)? The AMP Channel strip left to right text is fine, it's just the Main Mix/Meter Bridge type WDLs I have trouble with, makes me want to tilt my head to the left to read it.

Lol, different strokes I suppose. An option to be able to read down (kind of like a "Drive In Marquee" would be great.

Thanks,
Jeff

Hey Bob,
Would it be possible to add a setting to adjust the vertical spacing as well?
My problem with SAC's vertical text was that it was spaced too far part.
