In SAC...I connect my BCF via USB.  Is this possible  with AMP or does it have to be a dedicated Midi port.?

Sure, no issue! You can even use multiple bcf2000s, no issue. Just remember to upload the bcf SysEx file to program it.

The difference from SAC is that you set up each surface as it's own entity.  So each surface will be set up in a dedicated tab in the ctroller preferences.  You won't need to MIDI ox or any 3rd party crap i  order to sum all the MIDI data.  AMP does that for you and you can easilly set up surfaces for dedicated functions, like one just for master faders or just DCAs, etc...  vastly more flexible than SAC.
